Junie is a very sweet girl who has a very sad story. She was found in a taped up box, inside of a dumpster. She was covered in fleas and having difficulty walking. It’s a miracle she’s alive. Brought to a local animal control, she had to hope for a rescue to pull her or else be euthanized (they do not have funding for medical cases).

The shelter took care of all the fleas and her coat is now super soft. She is estimated at 13 years old. Junie enjoys attention and food. She tolerates other cats but is not a big fan of them.

Junie has had her initial vet appointment and xrays showed she has disc disease. We are seeking out additional supports for her and in the meantime she is on pain management. Junie can walk around, climb up and down stairs and use the accessible litter box 95% of the time. Her legs sometimes seem weak and she’ll gently lay down to the side. Junie is also being staged for kidney disease.

Once we have more information she’ll be available for adoption.
