BIO:
Seamus (pronounced “shay-mus”) is a lovely boy. He adores being picked up and will snuggle right into your neck and purr. Seamus was found outside and ended up at a local animal control. He was declawed at some point in his life.
Seamus does show signs of arthritis so he gets a twice daily pill to help with pain management. The cost of this medication is approximately $90 per month (can vary by clinic). He can still jump short distances and loves to snooze on cat trees and window ledges. He really loves to look outside and spend time in a screened in porch. Seamus also has kidney disease. At this time he receives a supplement in his wet food and we monitor his bloodwork every 6 months.
Seamus does co-exist with other cats. He’s not a huge fan but just avoids them. He’d prefer a home without other cats but could be fine depending on their personality. He’s met a cat friendly dog and had no issue with them (and even rubs against them). He should be fine with other calm animals. He has met a 6-10 year old kids and tends to give them space. Seamus enjoys playing, catnip and being brushed.

BIO: Rosalie is a very sweet girl who found herself at a local animal control after being found as a stray. She was clearly loved at some point because she is affectionate, well mannered and good with kids (youngest she has met was 7).
We are thrilled to share that Rosalie has been awarded a grant through the Petfinder Foundation to provide support to the family that adopts her! This means that one month of food, litter and supplies for her diabetes (insulin & testing) will be covered! It also covers a vet check up which she will need this fall. Oh and her adoption fee too!
Rosalie is a very sweet girl and we hope this extra support will encourage some loving families to apply to adopt her.
Rosalie has had a dental with extractions so her mouth feels much better. She was declawed at some point in her life. Rosalie has met a calm cat-friendly dog at her foster home and is okay as long as she is given space. At this time Rosalie is not good with other cats and initiates fights if she sees one.
Rosalie is diabetic. She eats a low carb wet food, receives regular blood glucose testing and 2x daily insulin. She is a good girl and very easy to test. We’re very happy to teach and support her adopters in learning how to manage her diabetes.
Rosie loves food and enjoys playing with catnip toys. She enjoys hanging out around people and can be picked up easily. She’s very quiet and when she does meow almost no sound comes out. Great in the car too.
Jiji

BIO: Jiji is a very sweet girl who ended up at a local animal control. She falls over for cheek rubs and chin scritches and loves human attention.
Jiji is currently fostered in Brantford and lives with other cats. While she can coexist she is not a fan of other cats and will hiss at them if they come within a few feet of her. If animals give her a wide berth she is fine.
Jiji has arthritis and receives 2x daily pill. She also loves heated cat beds and uses pet stairs to get onto the sofa. She has started getting twice monthly acupuncture and laser therapy.
Jiji has stage 1 kidney disease. She has some visual impairments but they don’t effect her significantly. She also has a couple cysts which are noticeable but don’t bother her. All very normal for a senior cat.
Jiji would love a home with someone to give her chin rubs, care for her medical needs and occasionally provide playtime and treats!
Jersey Girl

BIO: Jersey is a very sweet girl who came to us after her people died. There were 7 cats living in the home and we took on 3.
Jersey is 18 years old but seems much younger in mobility and activity levels. She loves catnip toys, following people around and stretching out on a comfy bed.
Jersey was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. She is starting on medication and we’ll be doing a recheck bloodwork to confirm she’s on the correct dose. Jersey also needs to lose some weight (slowly & safely!) which we have started working on.
Jersey Girl is chatty and loves being brushed!. She doesn’t like closed doors and will insist on being let in! She can be a bit nervous at first especially with loud noises and sudden movements, however she settled in fairly quickly at her foster home in a quiet environment. She loves to explore and can jump up on chairs easily (pet stairs needed for the bed).
Zorro

BIO: Zorro is a very sweet cat who came to us when his person died. There were 7 cats in the home, all seniors and all needing placement.
Zorro was very scared a first with so much change but after a couple weeks he completely came out of his shell. Zorro is very affectionate, flopping over to show you his tummy and make air biscuits or slow blinking at you across the room. He loves to be petted.
Zorro is very curious and likes to explore and he also loves to play. He gets along extremely well with the other cats in his foster home and would likely benefit from another calm older cat in his future home (he especially likes the calm boy cat he lives with and rubs up against him).
Zorro has had a dental to remove three yucky teeth. His mouth is now in good shape. Zorro’s bloodwork is good and he does not need any medication at this time for health conditions. Zorro came to us with a cloudy eye, likely due to a previous untreated infection. He had a couple of active ulcers which have now been treated. Zorro cannot see out of that eye which does not effect him at all.
Zorro can still be nervous with new people, loud noises and a busy environment. He would love a quiet home, perhaps with other calm cats. A home that wants an affectionate, playful cat who gives kisses!
Bandit

BIO: Bandit is a very pretty girl and is what we would call a “shadow cat”. She will live in your home and eat your food but would appreciate it if you don’t touch and while you’re at it, don’t look either.
Bandit lived in a home with 6 other cats. After her person died she came to our rescue with 2 of those cats (Zorro and Jersey Girl). The transition wss stressful for Bandit and she went on a hunger strike at first. She doesn’t seem to have any particular interest in other cats, but can coexist with them as long as they give her space.
Bandit can be a bit spicy if you try to touch her and if you have the audacity to look at her she will hiss like the queen she is.
Thankfully at this time Bandit does not have any health concerns. We monitor every cat at our rescue with bloodwork every 6 months.
While Bandit likes to hide and snooze the day away, especially if you’re around, she loves to explore at night when the house is quiet. We have cameras set up to watch her antics. She enjoys climbing and exploring every nook and cranny (perhaps plotting her escape?)
So if you’re looking for a senior roommate to take care of, who will leave you alone and keep you in your place, Bandit is the queen for you.
(We are of course continuing to work with Bandit in the hopes that she will become more social but its possible this is just who she is and that’s okay too)
