Petfinder Profile: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/scooter-74618051/on/brantford/second-hope-circle-on606/

BIO:

Scooter is a very sweet boy who is 14 years old. His fur is silky soft and he enjoys playing and hanging out. He’s also a chatty boy!

Scooter has hyperthyroidism and takes a pill twice daily. At this time he does not need any pain management for arthritis and can jump quite high for a senior. He was previously front paw delcawed as a kitten. Scooter has a dental in February 2026 and his teeth are in excellent condition!

Scooter can be a door-dasher, and likes to chew plants, so his new home will need to monitor him. Scooter asks for “uppies” all the time, and loves to be picked up. He loves to snuggle up under the covers!

Scooter has met kids (age 6-10) and is fine with respectful kids and will even seek out attention from them. Scooter would be overwhelmed by young children and a very busy/loud household.

Scooter is around other cats at his foster home and they get along fine. Sometimes the other cats find Scooter a bit annoying (like a little brother), because Scooter really likes to play and sometimes chase/smack them. There is a cat-friendly large dog in his foster home and after a few weeks adjustment he is fine around the dog.

Seamus

STATUS: Available!

Approximate Date of Birth: 2011

BREED: DSH

COLOUR:  Grey

GENDER: Neutered Male

MEDICAL: Arthritis, Kidney Disease

Petfinder Profile: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/seamus-77393018/on/brantford/second-hope-circle-on606/

BIO:

Seamus (pronounced “shay-mus”) is a lovely boy. He adores being picked up and will snuggle right into your neck and purr. Seamus was found outside and ended up at a local animal control. He was declawed at some point in his life.

Seamus does show signs of arthritis so he gets a twice daily pill to help with pain management. He can still jump short distances and loves to snooze on cat trees and window ledges. He really loves to look outside and spend time in a screened in porch. Seamus also has kidney disease. At this time he receives a supplement in his wet food and we monitor his bloodwork every 6 months.

Seamus does co-exist with other cats. He’s not a huge fan but just avoids them. He’d prefer a home without other cats but could be fine depending on their personality. He’s met a cat friendly dog and had no issue with them (and even rubs against them). He should be fine with other calm animals. He has met a 6-10 year old kids and tends to give them space. Seamus enjoys playing, catnip and being brushed.

Baby

STATUS: Available for adoption!

Approximate Date of Birth: 2006

BREED: DSH

COLOUR:  Grey and White

GENDER: Spayed Female

MEDICAL: Arthritis, High Blood Pressure, Visually impaired

PETFINDER PROFILE: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/baby-4916b3cf-b686-4fc7-b4e0-529a3f026480/on/brantford/second-hope-circle-on606/details/

BIO:

Baby came to us when her person went to hospital and no one in the family could take care of Baby long term. She is 19 years old and very sweet. She loves attention, food and being brushed!

She can be a little sassy and chomp if overstimulated or pressure is put on her back end, she is good about giving warning and this has only happened at the vet clinic.

Baby has arthritis and gets a twice daily pain pill. She uses pet stairs to get on the couch and enjoys laying on a heated cat bed most of the day. She sometimes overhangs the litter box to pee, so we use a pee pad to make clean up easy. Baby experienced a high blood pressure event that impacted her vision. She has since regained some vision but it’s not 100%. Her blood pressure is now well controlled with a once daily pill. Thankfully Baby is easy to pill.

Baby had a heart ultrasound in January. The recommendation is to repeat this in the summer to ensure there are no changes to her heart, but at this time there are no concerns.

She is okay with other cats who give her space. Baby would love someone to snuggle up beside!
