We are a small cat rescue and our primary needs are foster homes and financial donations.
We have a variety of volunteer tasks!
Fostering – if you are interested in fostering, please fill in an online foster application instead of a volunteer application
Host your own fundraiser. Examples:
- $2 dress down day at workplace/school
- Organizing Trivia night, Games night, scavenger hunt or other community event
- Selling items on Facebook marketplace
- Yard sale
- Collecting empties
- Design a tshirt/sticker to sell
Help with an existing fundraiser – we have 2 online auctions each year and can always use help writing item descriptions, soliciting donations, picking up/delivering auction items and finding online spaces to promote the auction. We also collect empties and run a vegan bake sale on an ongoing basis.
Creating handmade items or artworks for fundraisers:
- We ask that items do not contain animal products.
Identifying social media trends and drafting posts:
- We currently post on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
- Craft posts, content, phrases we can use in our posts
- Identify trends, songs, hashtags and other ideas that are popular
Soliciting donations from local businesses for our online auction fundraiser
- Asking in person or by phone
- Our auctions are in Spring and Fall
Finding sponsors for events, pet grooming, donation box hosting etc
- We have donations boxes and need businesses to host them at check out (ideally in Brantford)
- Larger events cost money to run and sponsors can offset those costs
- Sometimes we get cats in with poor coat condition, we’d love to connect to a cat knowledgeable groomer who would be interested in donating their time (Brantford/burlington area)
Putting up posters in your local community
- We currently have foster posters we’d like to put up in London, Brantford, Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville
Being a pick up/drop off location for donations/auctions
- We offer drop off to auction winners in Brantford, Hamilton & Burlington and can use help dropping these off
- We currently have a pick up/drop off spot in Brantford and would love another city drop off location for donations & auctions
